Sea Legs.

I was listening to Sea Legs by The Shins, and I thought the title would be particularly appropriate for my first post, considering that I'm trying to find my bearings in this turbulent sphere I reside in.

I have big dreams for this blog. I have high hopes for what it could be.

However, I come into it with no expectations.

I do not expect everyone to agree with me. I do not expect all that read to be moved. And I certainly do not expect everyone to be happy all the time.

But I do have hopes.

I hope at least one person can learn from my words, or at least be momentarily entertained. I know in this age of technology, very few things capture one's attention for more than a minute. I hope to offer a unique perspective to everyday situations. I hope to address topics that reside in the inner recesses of the closet intellectual's mind. I hope to slowly make a change.

I venture into this with the intentions of learning more about myself, music, art, fashion, politics, movies, television, vegetables, archery, synchronized snorkeling, or whatever else it is that I choose to write about.

And I hope you choose to learn with me.
